I am currently in my fourth year teaching at Qianjing High School and will happily be returning for a fifth. My teaching position consists of a variety of Social Studies courses, including Canadian History 11, Global History 12, and Career development. I received a Bachelor of Arts, 2010 and Bachelor of Education 2012, and I am currently enrolled in a Masters in Administration at Saint Francis Xavier University. I truly enjoy enjoy teaching at Qianjing High School because of the wonderful students and the dedicated Chinese staff

Hey everyone! My name is Chris Alguire and I am from the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. I studied at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and took my Bachelor of Education there as well. I teach Chemistry and Biology at Qianjing High School. Growing up in a small town I spent 6 years in Antigonish and felt right at home! Moving to China was a very big step but one that has proven to be the right decision. I love all the new experiences and knowledge I am gaining. The relationships I have formed with the staff and students here are ones that I will carry with me forever! I look forward to returning for my 2nd year!

My name is Devin Locke and I am from Coldbrook, Nova Scotia. I graduated from Saint Francis Xavier University with Bachelor Degrees in Science (Chemistry) and Education. I am currently the Chemistry teacher at Qianjing High School. My favorite thing about teaching in China is being able to work with passionate and engaged students. I am looking forward to returning to China in September for a second year of teaching!

I am a retired administrator/teacher from Antigonish Nova Scotia where I worked for 32 years in Education. My last 11 years I worked as a high school Principal. I have my Masters in Administration, Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts from St. Francis Xavier University. I am in my third year at Qianjing as the Principal. I am enjoying working with the Canadian and Chinese Staff to promote success for all our students

I am a certified Math & Chemistry teacher from Nova Scotia, Canada where I worked for 8 years. I have a B.Sc. in Chemistry/Mathematics from Dalhousie University (Faculty of Agriculture) and a B.Ed. in Math/Science from Lakehead University (Faculty of Education). I am currently finishing my second year at Qianjing and will be returning for a third year. Also, I really enjoy working with the International department and the Canadian teachers.

I am a Canadian teacher from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Before coming to China, I received my Bachelor of Arts and my Bachelor of Education from UPEI. I am currently finishing my first year at Qianjing High School and I am looking forward to teaching here next year as well. My name is Kyle Chisholm. I am from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada.In my undergraduate degree I studied English and Philosophy. For my teacher education degree I specialized in studying intermediate-senior English Language Arts. Upon completing my teaching degree I completed a Masters degree in Education with a focus on “ Social Justice” education. I am an enthusiastic sports fan and participate in a number of different sports. I played American football throughout high school, continuing into the university level. I have been teaching Grade ten and eleven English Language Arts at Qianjing High school for two years, and continue to enjoy my experiences working alongside myChinesecolleagues and look forward to continue educating and preparing my Chinese students .

I am from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and I attended Acadia University for my Bachelor of Education degree between 2007-2009. I have since been lucky enough to teach diverse groups of students in Canada, South Korea, and China. I am currently in my second year at Qianjing High School. I am looking forward to returning for a third year devoted to teaching Grade 12 English.

I’ve been teaching English 10 at Qianjing High School for two years, and I will return next year. I really like China because of its size- it’s not too big and not too small- its perfect! I also enjoy the Chinese Staff who always make sure the foreign teachers are taken care of, and my students who are (often) eager to learn. My hometown is Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. I attended two universities before coming to China: Saint Francis Xavier University where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree, then Cape Breton University where I obtained my teaching degree.

I am from Sydney, Nova Scotia Canada. I have 5 years teaching experience, with 4 of those teaching Math 10, Math 11 and Pre-Calculus 11 at Qianjing High School. I graduated from Cape Breton University with a Bachelor of Community Studies in Math, French and Human Kinetics and from St. Francis Xavier University with the Bachelor of Education. The best part of teaching in Qianjing is being able to work with such motivated and dedicated students every day!
